The Black Atlantic signs to Beep! Beep! Back up the Truck

We're super stoked to announce that from now we are part of theBeep! Beep! Back up the Truck family.

Album: "Reverence for Fallen Trees"
After touring internationally for two years now we have finally finished our debut album entitled 'Reverence for Fallen Trees' recorded over the Fall of 2008 and Spring of 2009, with the IN A CABIN WITH international recording project. It is going to be mastered by none other than Alan Douches himself @ WestWestSide (NYC) next week.
The album will be available to download FOR FREE on August 21st via various websites, as well as via bittorrent fromMininova.com. If you still don't know what bittorrent is go here and find out more about this file sharing protocol.
As you know, we travelled all the way to Saranac Lake (NY) in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains to lock ourselves up in a log cabin to record our record (click here to go to the blog).

Special Guests
Some special guest performances on "Reverence..." were given by our friends in the Brooklyn based The Antlers and Spanish Prisoners as well as Kim Janssen who has been a part of our cozy little line-up now for a year today!

Album
We did it. Finally! The record is as good as done! We're going to mix it 2nd week of July. Until then we'll be tweaking, pondering, listening, blaspheming and asking everyone for advice on what to do.
We've been talking to a few friendly labels as of late about the release of the album. More news on that soon, as well. Psyched!

DUNAjam
Having been invited to the 3rd annual DUNAjam on the Costa Verde of Sardinia was an amazing experience for us. It is hard to describe the magic of this guerilla-style community based un-festival. You should really just go to http://www.dunajam.net and read about it yourself. We had a superb time!
We should also not leave unmentioned the extreme kindness and courteousy show to us by the lovely people of the Party Program in Lille (FR), the patient patrons of Tiki's Pub in Geneva (CH) and the moustachioed kindhearts of Aeterblissement in Cologne. Truly, you were too kind. You made our trip. We really appreciate it

Home
For the next few months we'll be home for some much needed tour and album release preparations. We hope to see you on the road again in September or at our Album release shows @ Noorderzon Festival!
